Previously Delayed Marketing Access for Specialty Crops Funds to Recontinue
Last week, we were informed that USDA would be moving forward with $1.3 billion in payments under the Marketing Access for Specialty Crops (MASC) program. Originally announced last year as a $2.6 billion program—and with hopes to issue payments quickly to eligible producers—delays due to reviews and staffing challenges held up roughly half of those payments in recent months. These “Round 2” payments should have begun being issued this week, but we highly encourage any members still waiting on payments to reach out if any expected funds continue to be held up.
