USDA Seeks Nominees for National Organic Standards Board
Recently, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced that it would open nominations to serve on the National Organic Standards Board. Board members serve in five-year terms that represent various sectors within the organic community and routinely make recommendations to the agency regarding the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances, as well as other issues. The 15-person panel includes public and private partners—and California Farm Bureau encourages members with relevant backgrounds to consider applying. For more details, click here.
