Food Safety Modernization Act

In 2011, former President Barrack Obama signed into law the Food Safety Modernization Act. Broken into seven different rules, the legislation created significant regulatory requirements for companies up and down the food supply chain. For producers, this resulted in testing requirements designed to limit the threat of pathogens such as E. coli from produce grown and sold in the US.

Fertilizer Research & Education Program

The Fertilizer Research and Education Program (FREP) funds and facilitates research to advance the environmentally safe and agronomically sound use and handling of fertilizing materials.
