The U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service has opened the application period for nominees interested in serving on Secure Rural Schools Resource Advisory Committees. These committees help monitor Forest Service projects and provide advice and consultation to the agriculture secretary and staff.

Like other regional advisory committees, resource advisory committees serve as useful ways to promote agriculture-related interests to public counterparts.
