On Wednesday, the House Agriculture Committee announced that Rep. David Valadao had been officially added to its roster. In a statement, Chairman Glenn "G.T." Thompson said, “I can think of no one better suited to carry on Doug LaMalfa’s legacy as a strong advocate for California agriculture.”
In his own release, Valadao emphasized his experience as a dairy farmer and his commitment to addressing challenges facing producers, including rising input costs, labor shortages, trade issues and the need for a strong agricultural safety net.
Valadao joins fellow California representatives Adam Gray, Jim Costa and Salud Carbajal on the committee.
