Today at 2 p.m. is the deadline for farmers to report acreage for the Assistance for Specialty Crop Farmers Program. The program will distribute $1 billion in economic assistance to producers of specialty crops, sugar and other commodities as part of the broader $12 billion Farmer Bridge Assistance Program.

Producers who may be eligible are encouraged to review program requirements and report their 2025 acreage to their local U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency office before the deadline. Acreage reporting is the first step required to participate in the program.
