USDA Launches $500 million Grant Program for Domestic Fertilizer Investment and Expansion

Yesterday, U.S. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins announced the creation of the Fertilizer Investment and Expansion for Long-Term Domestic Supply Program. The $500 million program is intended to issue grants to support the construction and expansion of domestic fertilizer production facilities. Per the release, the priority for the U.S. Department of Agriculture remains “shovel ready” and financially viable projects. A formal page is not yet live as of this writing, but we will share in the upcoming issue. For now, grant applications will be open through Aug. 15.
