State Drought Task Force to Hold Public Meeting July 17

Published Friday, July 10, 2026
California's drought task force, called the Drought Resilience Interagency and Partners, or DRIP, Collaborative, will hold a public meeting on Friday, July 17, at 10 a.m. at the California Natural Resources Agency. The agenda includes reviewing the task force's progress on identifying indicators and metrics for drought and the roles and responsibilities agencies have for responding to drinking water well failure during drought emergencies. The meeting is open to the public, both virtually and in person, and will be streamed live. The DRIP Collaborative was established by a 2021 state law to serve as a public forum for state agencies and other members to develop drought strategies for California. Farm Bureau was appointed to a seat on the collaborative this February.
