10th Annual 'Feeding the Economy' Report Released
Published Friday, April 3, 2026
The 10th annual “Feeding the Economy” report was released last week by sponsors including the American Farm Bureau Federation and national food industry groups. The report highlights the full economic impact of food and agriculture across the supply chain, including direct and indirect contributions.
An interactive web tool allows users to view data at the national, state and congressional district levels, making it a useful resource for county Farm Bureaus engaging with elected officials.
In California, agriculture supports more than 259,000 direct jobs and generates more than $15.3 billion in wages, with even greater impacts when supporting industries are included. More information can be found in the methodology section.
