Published Friday, April 10, 2026
Last week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced the reopening of acreage reporting for the Assistance for Specialty Crop Farmers program. The program is funded through a $1 billion allocation within the broader $12 billion Farmer Bridge Assistance initiative.
ASCF provides one-time, acreage-based financial assistance to eligible specialty crop producers. A list of eligible crops is available through the program materials linked above.
Members are strongly encouraged to review eligibility and participate if applicable. To qualify, applicants must report their 2025 acreage to their local USDA Farm Service Agency office by the updated deadline of April 24, 2026.
