Ted Cooke Nominated to Lead Bureau of Reclamation

Earlier this week, President Trump nominated Ted Cooke to serve as the next Commissioner of the Bureau of Reclamation (USBR), he will need Senate confirmation before assuming the role. Cooke previously spent two decades working at the Central Arizona Project, which is the state’s largest water project. USBR helps handle many of the water delivery, storage, and energy projects in the western U.S. If confirmed, challenges around the management of the Colorado River are expected to be a significant area of focus for the next commissioner.
