As a reminder, a March 13 deadline is quickly approaching for reporting acreage under the [Assistance for Specialty Crop Farmers Program](https://www.fsa.usda.gov/resources/programs/farmer-bridge-assistance-fba-program). The program is set to distribute $1 billion in economic assistance for specialty crops, sugar and other commodities. It’s part of a $12 billion package that went to the Farmer Bridge Assistance program. California Farm Bureau continues to work on more funds being added for the program portion, but we urge members to review their potential eligibility closely and consider applying. According to an announcement last month, farmers have until March 13 to submit their 2025 acres to their local U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency office.
