President Delivers State of the Union Address

Tuesday night, President Trump issued his first State of the Union address of his second term. The speech largely avoided any direct ties to the agriculture industry but did touch upon several of his signature policies, including immigration enforcement and tariffs. The president defended his efforts up until this point and noted his belief that many popular food items had come down in price. Food and nutrition have come into heightened focus between prices and the Make America Healthy Again initiative.
