California Farm Bureau Signs Pesticide Coalition Letter on Promoting Science-Based Research
Published Friday, February 13, 2026
California Farm Bureau joined a broad coalition letter last week to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Secretary Lee Zeldin, urging the agency to continue supporting science-based research within its pesticide approval and review processes.
In recent months, heightened scrutiny of EPA-approved pesticides by several administration officials has raised concerns about how the products are viewed by regulators and the public. With the Make America Healthy Again Commission identifying American-grown produce as a key component of improving childhood health, we believe agriculture can continue to serve as a strong partner in achieving those goals through sound, science-based regulation.
