AFBF Annual Thanksgiving Meal Cost Survey
The American Farm Bureau Federation released its annual Thanksgiving Dinner Cost survey this year, with the average cost of a Thanksgiving meal dropping by about 5% compared to a year ago. As always, shifts in specific commodities reveal more to the story, with many vegetables up in costs by wide margins, while the cost of turkey is down 16% from last year. AFBF’s annual survey helps serve as a regular check-in on the costs of groceries for consumers, while often highlighting trends within the industry.
