BLM Finalizes Updated Sage-Grouse Plan for California
Just prior to Christmas, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management announced an updated sage-grouse plan for several states, including California. The revised management plans will place a greater emphasis on the important role cattle grazing plays in conservation and wildfire mitigation and tailor individuals plans for specific regions as opposed to what many saw previously as a one-size-fits-all approach.
