TITLE: Marketing and Media Communications Administrative Assistant
REPORTABILITY: Marketing Manager
SALARY RANGE: $24.00/hr. to $26.00/hr.
SUMMARY: The Marketing and Media Communications Assistant is responsible for supporting the media, marketing and communications duties of the California Farm Bureau Federation (CAFB) such as updating websites through a CMS, assisting with digital marketing campaigns, routing media inquiries, managing the subscription database for CAFB publications, producing monthly marketing reports, posting daily and weekly news updates including scheduling of news releases, coordinating CAFB contests and media award submissions, and providing general administrative support to the Marketing & Communications division. This position reports to the Marketing Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Provides excellent customer service for incoming calls and by email for Farm Bureau members and California Bountiful magazine subscribers, and monitors CAFB email accounts.
Maintains up-to-date membership and subscription information.
Mails courtesy California Bountiful magazines and AgAlert newspapers, renewal notices and marketing materials for campaigns.
Distributes incoming mail, California Bountiful magazines and Ag Alert newspapers, and maintains publication archives.
Updates websites on a daily and weekly basis in line with best practices and brand guidelines.
Serves as first point of contact for media inquiries, routing inquiries to the appropriate subject matter experts.
Sends out daily communications emails via appropriate channels including Constant Contact and maintains up-to-date contact lists.
Manages annual contest submissions including scheduling and fulfillment.
Finalizes board meeting and other division reports for the Chief Marketing Officer.
Serves as backup for the Member Service phone line and email account to ensure member service and satisfaction.
Serves as backup for social media posts.
Submits invoices and processes payments.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a business environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to process invoices and generate reports, memos and proposals.
