'Water rights fee' protest form

As reported in a recent Ag Alert® article, California Farm Bureau Federation is challenging in court as an unconstitutional tax the annual state “fee” imposed on water rights permits and licenses. Farm Bureau recommends that recipients of “fee” bills file protests to improve their chances of receiving a refund of “fees” paid if that challenge succeeds.

The “fee” for fiscal year 2011-12 may be protested by printing, completing and filing with the State Water Resources Control Board this Petition for Reconsideration (PDF, 18 KB).
