The Outstanding Young Farmer and Rancher of the Year competition judges the operating efficiency of young farmers and ranchers and is based on leadership, creativity and proven success.

Winners are eligible to compete at the national contest in New Orleans, Louisiana, January 6-9, 2008 and will receive one year’s use of any size Kubota Tractor from the Kubota Tractor Corporation along with $4000 from our sponsors at Allied Insurance, State Compensation Insurance Fund, California Farm Credit, Bank of America, Dodge, Syngenta, and California Farm Bureau Federation. Winners of the national contest receive a 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 Mega Cab Laramie 4x4 with a 5.9L Cummins Turbo Diesel engine.
