Leadership Farm Bureau
Leadership Farm Bureau is a leadership development program sponsored by the California Farm Bureau Federation (CFBF). The program is ideal for members of a county Farm Bureau board of directors and for active Farm Bureau members who wish to develop their leadership skills and become familiar with issues facing California agriculture.
Farm Bureau will provide over 250 hours of instruction over seven sessions. Meetings will vary according to each month's agenda, but each session runs approximately three days.
Governmental Affairs
Activities include both a California and a Washington, D.C. Lobbying Session. Participants will review development and implementation of state and national policies in meetings with key legislative, administrative and regulatory officials.
Personal Development
Participants will develop and enhance their leadership skills through communication, business etiquette, negotiation skills, time management, and team building workshops.
California Agriculture
Participants will learn about important aspects of California Agriculture, and will have the chance to review industry innovations and farming practices. Activities include field trips throughout the state and Mexico.
