Farm Bureau pursues anti-tax campaign
as it endorses Gov. Schwarzenegger for re-election

CFBF President Doug Mosebar endorses Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger: "Raising taxes on family farmers will kill jobs and weaken the California economy. The tractor tax issue will drive farmers to the polls this November."

As Farm Bureau works to re-elect Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Farm Team members are engaged in an unprecedented effort by the farming community to highlight the sharp contrasts between the two gubernatorial candidates and their visions for California farms and ranches.

The Farm Bureau "No Tractor Tax" campaign holds events throughout the state to oppose Democratic candidate Phil Angelides’ effort to raise taxes on family farmers and ranchers. His pledge to close so-called "corporate tax loopholes" includes hiking taxes on tractors and diesel fuel at a time when farmers and ranchers have suffered from sharp cost increases for crucial farm supplies.
