» August 17, 2004 «
Patricia L. Stever of Sacramento has joined the staff of the California Farm Bureau Federation as a field representative.
In her position, Stever will serve as the organization's liaison to 11 county Farm Bureaus in Central and Southern California: Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Monterey, Orange, Riverside, San Luis Obispo, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara, and Ventura.
"County Farm Bureaus are the engine that drives our organization," CFBF President Bill Pauli said. "Tricia serves a vital role in communicating with county Farm Bureaus and brings a background of service to agriculture and education."
Prior to joining Farm Bureau, Stever served as program coordinator for the California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom. In that role, she worked with county Farm Bureaus and agricultural literacy committees to organize and implement educational programs that incorporate agricultural themes.
A native of Exeter, Stever earned bachelor's and master's degrees, plus a teaching credential, from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo. She is currently a fellow in the California Agricultural Leadership Program.
The California Farm Bureau Federation, the state's largest farm organization, represents more than 89,000 member families in 53 county Farm Bureaus.
