Statement of Doug Mosebar, president, California Farm Bureau Federation
» September 12, 2008 «
One reason Farm Bureau supported Arnold Schwarzenegger for governor in both his campaigns was because we knew he would stand up to the special interests in Sacramento. He has done that, and now one of those special interests is trying to recall him.
To us, the recall is a response to Governor Schwarzenegger challenging the status quo in the state Capitol.
We're sure the recall effort will fail. But we fear it will distract people from the real issues that Sacramento needs to solve, things like providing reliable water supplies and reforming the way our government does business.
We appreciate Gov. Schwarzenegger's commitment to tackle the tough issues that Californians care about most.
