Cantaloupe grows on fast-growing vines which create big leaves
to shade the melons from the hot sun. A cantaloupe contains
lots of sweet juice, which comes from the water taken up by
the vine. How much water do you think it takes to grow an
eight-ounce serving of cantaloupe (one-quarter of a melon)?
