Anthony J. "Tony" Toso was elected second vice president of the California Farm Bureau Federation in December 2015.
Toso served on the CFBF Board of Directors from 2011 to 2015, representing Madera, Mariposa and Merced counties. He has served as the board liaison to the Animal Health and Welfare Committee and on the CFBF Beef Commodity Advisory Committee, and is a past president of the Mariposa County Farm Bureau and the Merced-Mariposa County Cattlemen's Association.
In addition, Toso serves as president of the California Chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. He has served on the Mariposa County Agricultural Advisory Committee since 2005, and has also served on the board of directors of the Producers Livestock Marketing Association and on the California Cattlemen's Association Tax and Finance Committee.
He raises beef cattle on a family ranch in Hornitos and is a partner and chief financial officer of Edwards, Lien & Toso Inc., an agricultural appraisal firm in Hilmar.
Toso earned a degree in Animal Science with a minor in Agricultural Business from California State University, Fresno. In 2008, he was awarded the professional designation of Accredited Rural Appraiser by the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.Back
