Ellen Martin joins Farm Bureau as media specialist

An experienced social media professional, Ellen Martin, has joined the California Farm Bureau Federation as its media specialist.
In her new role, Martin will develop content for CFBF websites including www.cfbf.com and the site serving the California Bountiful television program and magazine, www.californiabountiful.com. She will also write posts and tweets for CFBF and California Bountiful social media sites on Facebook, Twitter and other platforms.
Martin’s duties include responding to news media inquiries and writing news releases, the weekly CFBF Food and Farm News service and other materials.
Prior to joining CFBF, Martin worked since 2007 for the Association of California Water Agencies, most recently as social media and outreach specialist, where she developed social media plans and policies, developed social media and blog content, worked on the organization’s website and wrote for its publications.
A resident of Sacramento, Martin studied government and journalism at California State University, Sacramento.
The California Farm Bureau Federation works to protect family farms and ranches on behalf of nearly 78,000 members statewide and as part of a nationwide network of more than 6.2 million Farm Bureau members.
